About the Role:

Protocol Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of additional learning needs in a Croydon-based school. You will be working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language difficulties).

  • Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.

  • Help maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.

  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure progress.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
