SEN Teaching Assistant – Sutton

Protocol Education are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner schools in Sutton.

You will be working with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting children’s educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing

  • Encourage independence and positive learning behaviour

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN pupils (school or similar environment)

  • A nurturing, calm and proactive approach

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
