An exciting opportunity has come up to work as a Teaching Assistant in a local Sunderland Primary school.

The role is full-time and involves working with a KS1/2 class. The role is to begin as soon as possible which will run until at least Easter.

The individual best suited to the role will be dedicated to supporting pupils learning and development and will have experience working with primary aged children.

The school is based in the NE1 region and is an outstanding rated Ofsted school. Staff work collaboratively to produce and attain high standards of learning at all levels of pupil ability.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to be flexible to support children across the curriculum.

 

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working in the primary school environment

• A DBS

• An overseas criminal clearance (if necessary)

• Lead one-to-one and group intervention to challenge pupils at all abilities

• Produce engaging learning materials to support pupils’ development

• Effective management of pupil behaviour

• Support the classroom teacher
