Are you a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding opportunity to support students? We are looking for a compassionate individual to join our team in Bristol. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored support to SEN students both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with SEN students, both individually and in small groups, to deliver personalized lessons and support.
- Assist in creating and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of SEN students.
- Support students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities through various learning activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
Preferred Training and Experience:
- Previous experience working with SEN children or teenagers in an educational setting.
- Comfortable delivering 1-to-1 support, small group sessions, and individualised lessons.
- Knowledge of and experience with a variety of SEN conditions and strategies to support individual learning needs.
- Relevant training in SEN support, such as Team Teach, Makaton, or Autism Awareness, is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and empathy to effectively engage with SEN students and build positive relationships.
