Protocol Education are currently working with an "OUTSTANDING" school based in Enfield.

The Headteacher of this lovely primary school is looking to onboard an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working across all primary year group either on a 1:1 basis or on a small group basis.

The school has been established in the community for over 50 years and have been rated "OUTSTANDING" by ofsted. The school is located in the heart of Enfield borough with multiple travel options for you to choose from i.e. Underground Station is 5 minutes walk away and a bus stop with multiple options is right outside the school entrance.

This role will be starting from September in the new academic year however there may be a chance you might be requested to attend trainign days over the sumnmer holidays, should you be successful.

 

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • prepare learning materials
  • adapt teaching support according to student's needs
  • look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
  • create an interesting environment for students
  • keep records and attend review meetings
  • work with professionals such as speech and language therapists

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you need:

  • sensitivity and understanding
  • patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • to enjoy working with other people
  • to be flexible and open to change
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • knowledge of teaching and the ability to design courses
  • the ability to understand people’s reactions
  • active listening skills
  • to be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
