Protocol Education are currently working with an OFSTED rated "OUTSTANDING" mainstream primary school based in Enfield.

The Headteacher of this amazing primary school is currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in KS2 to support their students either on a 1:1 basis or on a small group basis.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be expected to have previous experience supporting pupils with *Special Education Needs* either on a 1:1 basis or on a small group basis.

An ideal candidate will also be expected to have worked in a similar role however that isnt nessasary so should you have any SEN support experience outside of a classroom setting then please feel free to apply to this post too.

 

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • prepare learning materials
  • adapt teaching support according to student's needs
  • look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
  • create an interesting environment for students
  • keep records and attend review meetings
  • work with professionals such as speech and language therapists

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will require:

  • sensitivity and understanding
  • patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • to enjoy working with other people
  • to be flexible and open to change
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • knowledge of teaching and the ability to design courses
  • the ability to understand people’s reactions
  • active listening skills
  • to be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
