An Ofsted-rated Good primary school in Birmingham is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a hands-on role supporting pupils with additional needs, offering consistency, care, and encouragement throughout the school day. For the right person, there’s real scope for this role to become long term.
The Role
You’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom. This may include 1:1 support, small group work, and helping pupils stay engaged, regulated, and confident in their learning.
Every day is different, but your impact will be clear, you’ll be the calm, consistent presence that helps pupils feel safe and ready to learn.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children with SEN, in a school or similar setting
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH
- Someone reliable, committed, and keen to make a difference

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
