SEN Teaching Assistant, 1:1 Support

We’re working with a welcoming primary school in BD4, Bradford, who are looking for a calm, resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 1 pupil. The child has SEN and presents with challenging behaviour, so this role suits someone confident, patient, and steady under pressure.

This is a hands-on role where relationships matter. You’ll be a consistent, trusted adult, helping the pupil feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 support throughout the school day

  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour in line with the school’s strategies

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Helping the pupil access learning in a way that works for them

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviour

  • A calm, positive, and resilient approach

  • Confidence working with young children in KS1

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils who need extra understanding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
