Are you someone who knows that the right support, at the right moment, can change a young person’s whole school experience?
We’re looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join a welcoming secondary school in the B36 area of Birmingham. You’ll be part of an experienced and dedicated SEND team, working closely with pupils in class, one-to-one and in small groups to help them feel confident, supported and ready to learn.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting potential and helping pupils take real steps forward, both academically and emotionally.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting pupils with SEND in lessons, small groups and individual sessions
- Delivering high-quality academic interventions and mentoring
- Working closely with teachers and the SEND team to support learning and progress
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement in school life
We’re looking for someone who
- Is confident, patient and encouraging, with a genuine interest in supporting young people
- Has strong literacy and numeracy skills, GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Can inspire pupils and adapt support to meet individual needs
- Has experience working in a school or SEND setting, or has supported young people in another relevant environment
