We are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive primary school in Peterlee. The role focuses on providing consistent 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning and regulate emotions.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support

Support pupils with autism, ADHD or SEMH needs

Help maintain clear routines and positive behaviour strategies

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and engagement
Skills & Experience

Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable

Calm, patient and resilient approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
