SEN Teaching Assistant

We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Peterlee that’s looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism and SEMH needs. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be making a real difference, every single day.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Helping children regulate emotions and access learning

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Creating a calm, positive learning environment
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children with SEN (school or care-based)

A calm, resilient and nurturing approach

A genuine interest in child development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
