SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Daily Rate: £90–£110
Protocol Education is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs in a supportive secondary school in Newcastle.
The school has a strong inclusion ethos and works closely with external agencies to support pupils with EHCPs, ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs. Staff benefit from clear systems, strong leadership and a collaborative working environment. The school is easily accessible via public transport.
Role overview:

Providing tailored in-class and 1:1 support for students with SEN

Supporting learning, communication and emotional regulation

Assisting with differentiated activities and interventions

Working closely with SENCOs and teaching staff

Promoting independence and confidence in learning
We are looking for:

Experience supporting SEN in secondary settings

A nurturing, patient and proactive approach

Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
