SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist Provision

Location: Sunderland
Pay: £90–£110per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential to go permanent)

Looking for a role where your calm presence genuinely changes a child’s day?

This specialist setting supports pupils with autism and complex needs, and they’re looking for an SEN TA who brings patience, consistency and a big heart. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and wider team to support learning, regulation and routines.

Your day will include:

  • 1:1 and small group SEN support

  • Helping pupils access learning through structure and reassurance

  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Being that steady, trusted adult pupils rely on

You’ll need:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND

  • A calm, nurturing approach

  • Confidence working as part of a close-knit team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
