SEN Teaching Assistant – Middlesbrough

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Middlesbrough. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs

Support teachers in delivering engaging, structured, and differentiated lessons

Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional well-being
-
Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual pupil needs
Requirements:

Experience supporting SEN learners (school, youth work, care, or similar)
-
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
