SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Leeds

Hours: 8.30 - 3.30pm (approx)

Start date: ASAP

The Role:

Working as a Teaching Assistant you will provide support for SEND students in order to ensure that they’re getting the best out of their education and are given an equal opportunity to succeed outside of the classroom. Initially you will work on a temporary basis, however there could be the option for a school to offer you a long-term position should they require.

Based in Leeds, this special school caters to children who have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) ASC and SEMH. The team of staff work closely to ensure all visions are successfully achieved and the school describes itself as “ an inspirational community, which nurtures talents, shares learning and celebrates life.”

What we need from you:

Whether you have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about caring for others this could be the role for you. As an individual you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to provide the best outcomes for your students.

It is desired (although not essential) that applicants have extra qualifications such as Moving and Handling, Team Teach or Personal Care.
