1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 2 (Non-Verbal Pupil)
Location: BD5, Bradford
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Pay: £88–£105 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate

We’re looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a non-verbal pupil in a Year 2 class at a welcoming primary school in BD5, Bradford. This is a rewarding 1:1 role where your patience, creativity, and empathy will make a real difference every single day.
What you’ll be doing:

Working closely with a non-verbal pupil to build trust and communication

Supporting learning through visual aids, gestures, and sensory activities

Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and therapists

Helping create a calm, structured environment where the pupil can feel safe and included
We’d love to hear from you if you:

Have experience supporting children with autism, speech and language needs, or non-verbal communication

Use (or are open to learning) approaches like PECS, Makaton, or sensory-based strategies

Are patient, resilient, and able to celebrate progress in all its forms

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
