Looking for a role that feels more like mentoring than mainstream teaching?

We’re recruiting an SEN Teacher for a specialist provision within a Sunderland secondary school. You’ll deliver a life skills-based curriculum to KS4 pupils working towards functional skills and independence rather than formal GCSEs.

You’ll be doing:

  • Planning creative lessons around communication, teamwork, and practical skills

  • Supporting students with ASD, moderate learning difficulties, and anxiety

  • Building positive, lasting relationships that make school feel safe and rewarding

You’ll need:

  • QTS or QTLS

  • Experience with SEND or alternative provision

  • A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve on their own terms
