SEN Teacher – Autism & Communication Needs
Location: Sunderland
Start: ASAP or after half-term
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: £140 to £220 per day (PAYE)

What you’ll be doing:

Teaching a class of KS3/KS4 pupils with autism and communication needs

Using structure, visuals, and purposeful routines to support understanding

Working closely with TAs, therapists, and senior staff

Creating a safe, predictable, and uplifting classroom environment

Celebrating the small wins that feel huge
What we’re looking for:

QTS or QTLS
-
Experience within SEND, or a real passion for it
-
A gentle, patient teaching style
-
Confidence adapting work to different communication levels

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
