SEN Teacher (Secondary) – Full Time

About the role
We are recruiting an SEN Teacher for a specialist secondary provision catering to young people aged 11-19 with autism spectrum condition (ASC), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and communication & interaction needs. Key duties

  • Lead teaching and learning for groups and individual pupils with complex needs.

  • Design adaptive curriculum pathways that promote independence, wellbeing and academic progress.

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including therapists, behaviour support staff and families.

  • Embed strength-based approaches, positive behaviour strategies and inclusive practices.

  • Track, evaluate and report on pupil progress, contributing to their longer-term preparation for adulthood.

What we’re seeking

  • QTS or QTLS.

  • Experience working in a specialist or SEND secondary setting is highly desired.

  • Strong leadership, communication and relational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
