✨ SEN Teacher (QTS Required) – Residential Specialist Provision, Chigwell ✨
Are you a qualified SEN Teacher looking for a truly impactful role?
Do you thrive in a structured, supportive environment with small class sizes?
Are you passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs in a residential setting?
Protocol Education are working in partnership with a specialist residential provision in Chigwell to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher (QTS required).
The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs within a Monday–Friday residential model, where pupils arrive on Monday morning and return home on Friday, spending four evenings and nights at the school. This consistent structure allows staff to build strong relationships and provide continuity of care, learning, and emotional support.
Classes are small, with up to ten pupils, and each classroom benefits from a minimum of one teacher and one Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), ensuring pupils receive high levels of individualised support throughout the school day.
Many pupils have additional needs such as Autism (ASD), SEMH, complex learning difficulties, and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Teaching is personalised, nurturing, and focused on both academic progress and wider life skills.
The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrate a calm, patient, and trauma-informed approach, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience within SEND, residential schools, or specialist provisions is highly desirable, though applications from passionate teachers with relevant transferable experience are welcomed.
