About the role
We’re seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist primary provision for children aged 4–11 with autism spectrum condition (ASC), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and other additional needs. This role offers a chance to teach creatively, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to the whole-child development of learners who thrive in a structured, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND.

  • Work closely with support staff, therapists and multi-disciplinary teams to meet individual education, health & care plan (EHCP) objectives.

  • Foster pupils’ emotional regulation, communication, independence and wellbeing through inclusive practice.

  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, adjust strategies accordingly and report to stakeholders.

  • Promote a safe, nurturing and predictable learning environment where pupils feel valued and successful.

What we’re looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND is highly desired though we will consider strong candidates new to the specialist sector.

  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A calm, patient, adaptable approach and a commitment to inclusive education.

  • A genuine passion to make a difference in a specialist setting.
