SEN Teacher – Specialist Provision (Sunderland)

Pay: £120–£220 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist education setting supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and understands the importance of structure, consistency and positive relationships. Pupils may present with SEND, SEMH or complex learning needs and benefit from a calm, trauma-informed approach.
You will work closely with support staff and the wider SEN team to deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs.
Key responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
• Creating a safe, supportive and structured learning environment
• Supporting pupils’ academic, emotional and social development
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN staff
• Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
This role is ideal for someone who:
• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching pupils with SEND or SEMH
• Is patient, reflective and adaptable
• Is committed to inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
