Exciting Opportunity: Experienced SEN Teacher Needed in Newcastle!
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to support students at a SEN school inNewcastle. This full-time position is available immediately (subject to valid DBS check), and we welcome applications from both experienced teachers and those new to SEND.
The Role:
- Design, deliver, and evaluate tailored lessons based on the National Curriculum to meet the individual needs of SEND pupils.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals and provide guidance to Teaching Assistants as needed.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Prior experience teaching children with various SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and Physical Disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- An empathetic and calm demeanour to support students effectively.
- Enthusiasm for becoming an integral part of the school community and making a positive impact on students' lives.
- Prior experience with SEND interventions is desirable.
Requirements:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- Availability to work full-time, five days a week.
