A ‘Good’ 3 form entry primary school located in Haringey is seeking a full-time experienced KS1 / KS2 SEN Teacher.  The role is until July 2023. The staff are friendly and supportive, and the children are encouraged to be creative and great achievers. In this mainstream school you will be working with small groups of children with various SEN needs including ASD, ADHD and difficulties with communication and social interaction. You will be required to provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum. Knowledge of PECS/Makaton/Team Teach etc would be useful but is not essential.

The successful candidate should have:

×         Qualified Teacher status

×         Experience of teaching upper KS2

×         SEN teaching experience

×        Relevant knowledge and experience of working with SEN children

×        Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures

×        Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing challenging behaviour

×         An understanding of the importance of using self-evaluation and performance data to identify and implement effective improvement

×         Be committed to contributing to the wider life of the school.
