Protocol Education are working in partnership with an independent specialist provision in Great Dunmow to recruit a dedicated Teacher (QTS required) to support students aged 11–19.

The school provides positive, high-quality and relevant educational experiences for young people with ongoing social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, alongside associated complex needs. The focus is on supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing, helping students to re-engage with learning and prepare for future pathways.

Teachers work within small classes, delivering individualised and flexible curricula tailored to pupils’ needs. You will work closely with support staff and the wider team to create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where students feel understood, supported and motivated.

The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrate a calm, consistent and trauma-informed approach. Experience working within SEMH, SEND, alternative provision or specialist settings is highly desirable, though applications from ECTs and teachers with relevant transferable experience are welcomed.

This is a full-time, long-term position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
