About Role:

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their school experience and better development. Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden, London is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Lots of enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to providing the best education for those children.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain excellent practice
  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers through regular communication and updates

What We’re Looking For

  • Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
  • Relevant training (e.g. Makaton, PECS) is plus point
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN in the classroom and one-to-one
  • A sound grasp of how to support children outside of a mainstream curriculum.
  • Monitoring behaviour calmly and positively, using established strategies to support self-regulation and focus.
