BSL Trained Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a special school in Hackney.

The school are looking for an individual with a qualification in British Sign Language. The school are wanting a BSL teaching assistant that can work both independently but also effectively alongside the class teacher. You will be responsible for making the work accessible for this pupil and creating a fun, safe, and engaging working environment.

We need you to be flexible, to have good time management, a passion for helping children and to be able make a difference in these children's lives.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • BSL Level 2 and above qualification. Level 1 will also be considered.
  • Two professional references
  • Have a passion for supporting children in the learning sector
  • Confident with challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
