About the role
- Offer steady 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND and SEMH needs or working in a small group.
- Follow individual education plans
- Help create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils in building social skills, confidence and emotional regulation.
- Respond to challenging behaviour using a nurturing approach.
- Work closely with the teachers, SENCO and outside professionals to support holistic development.
Requirements for the role as a SEN support assistant

Experience supporting children or young people, ideally with SEND

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
