Job Duties:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEND, SEMH, and Autism.
- Individual and Group Support: Provide 1:1 and small group support to ensure personalized learning experiences.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with GCSE programmes and alternative qualifications.
- Innovative Teaching Methods: Use creative and innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
- Student Assessment: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to support student development.
Required Qualifications:
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Skills and Knowledge:
- Expertise in working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) students.
- Knowledge of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to employ innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or qualifications in alternative educational approaches or SEND-specific strategies.
