Job Duties:

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEND, SEMH, and Autism.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide 1:1 and small group support to ensure personalized learning experiences.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with GCSE programmes and alternative qualifications.
  • Innovative Teaching Methods: Use creative and innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
  • Student Assessment: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to support student development.

Required Qualifications:

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Expertise in working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) students.
  • Knowledge of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to employ innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or qualifications in alternative educational approaches or SEND-specific strategies.
