Several leading special needs schools in Sheffield are currently recruiting an experienced PE Teacher to work in a Special Needs School. The pupils are aged between 9 to 19 years which support pupils with SEND such as autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), challenging behaviour and learning difficulties.

The role will require leading, delivering and co-ordinating lessons and curriculum to students that have autism, communication difficulties and developmental delay. Candidates who are committed to ensuring pupils make good progress and encourage pupils to reach their potential through engaging and stimulating teaching will considered to work in one of our outstanding SEN schools.

Successful candidates will need the following skills and qualifications:

• Confident in differentiating work in accordance to the students' needs
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and works well under pressure
• Have recent experience teaching SEN students
• Experience of working in a school working setting
• An enhanced DBS disclosure on the update service, or willingness to undertake one at a one-off cost of £40.00
