Job Description:

As an SEN Maths Teacher at Protocol Education, you will play a vital role in fostering a love for mathematics while tailoring your teaching approach to meet the unique needs of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons customized to the individual needs and abilities of students with SEN.
  • Modifying teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various learning styles and levels of mathematical proficiency.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group instruction and support when necessary.
  • Conducting regular assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborating with the SEN team and other educators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and empowered to excel in mathematics.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Specialized training or experience in teaching students with SEN is preferred.
  • Proficiency in different mathematical concepts and the ability to make complex topics accessible to students with varying abilities.
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping students with special educational needs succeed in mathematics.
