SEN Learning Support Assistant – Autism Focus

A welcoming school is seeking an SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with autism in a structured, nurturing environment.

You’ll help pupils manage routines, transitions, and sensory needs, while building trust and confidence over time.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing consistent SEN support throughout the day

  • Using visual supports and clear communication

  • Supporting emotional regulation and social development

  • Working as part of a supportive SEND team

Experience with autism is ideal, but the right attitude matters most.

This role is ideal if you:

  • Are considering careers in teaching, SEN or mental health

  • Are calm, empathetic and good at building rapport

  • Want practical experience that goes beyond textbooks

  • Enjoy working with people and being part of a supportive team
