Protocol Education is currently recruiting for an ambitious and resilient SEN Cover Supervisor to join a "Good" Ofsted-rated secondary school in Harrow.

They have a well-resourced SEN department and are looking for someone who can command a classroom while providing specific support to students with additional needs.
The Role
As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will not just be "babysitting" a class. You will be a vital part of the learning process. Your main duties will include:

Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.

Crucially: ensuring students with Special Educational Needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH) are supported and engaged during these lessons.

Managing behaviour effectively using the school’s positive behaviour policy.

Delivering pre-planned work and ensuring students remain on task.

Building a rapport with hard-to-reach students to foster a safe learning environment.
Who We Are Looking For

Experience: Previous experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching) is essential. Experience with SEN is highly desirable.

Education: A degree (especially in Psychology, Sociology, or Education) is preferred but not mandatory.

Personality: You must be confident, resilient, adaptable, and patient.

Ambition: Ideally, you are someone looking to pursue a career in Educational Psychology or teaching in the future.
