At Protocol Education we’re supporting a brilliant specialist school in Gateshead who are searching for a compassionat, genuinely brilliant 1:1 Support Assistant to work closely with a pupil who needs extra guidance through the school day.

What you’ll be doing
- Providing consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
- Helping them access learning, routines, and social situations
- Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher
- Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Using calm, confident communication to build trust and independence
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- A kind, nurturing approach and a steady presence
- Someone who can stay positive, even on the trickier days
- Great communication and the confidence to work as part of a wider support team
