Teaching Assistant – SEMH School (Day-to-Day Cover)

Pay: £90 to £95 per day
Contract: Flexible day cover, immediate start

What your day could involve

Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs

Helping young people regulate, refocus, and re-engage with lessons

Using nurturing, trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation techniques

Working closely with teachers, mentors, and pastoral staff

Modelling consistency, warmth, and positive communication

Experience in SEMH, PRUs, youth work, mentoring, or behaviour support

Strong communication skills and a warm, relatable manner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
