SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH Specialist School

Location: Islington
Pay: £90 to £95 per day
Contract: Day-to-day cover, immediate start

What the role involves

  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs

  • Helping young people regulate, reset, and re-engage with learning

  • Using de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches

  • Working closely with teachers, mentors, and pastoral leads

  • Modelling calm, consistency, and clear boundaries

You’ll shine in this role if you have

  • Experience in SEMH, PRU, youth work, residential care, or behaviour support
