SEMH Teaching Assistant (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)

Location: South Bristol
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour

Protocol Education are searching for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils who need extra help managing emotions, building resilience, and engaging with school life.

This role involves working closely with individual pupils who may face barriers such as anxiety, low self-esteem, or trauma-related difficulties. You’ll support them both in class and through tailored interventions, helping them build confidence and stability.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting SEMH pupils in schools, youth work, or care settings

  • Can remain calm and encouraging in challenging situations

  • Builds trust quickly and communicates with empathy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
