SEMH Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity
At Protocol we are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs and who thrives in a supportive and challenging environment.
Location: Morden
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum and succeed in their learning.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a nurturing and structured environment that meets the emotional and academic needs of each student.
- Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviours.
- Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring that each child receives the appropriate level of support.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the well-being and development of students.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow guidance from senior staff.
