Job Title: SEMH Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Sutton

Salary: £77 per day (full-time)

 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Primary Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in a specialist SEMH primary setting located in Sutton. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting primary-aged learners with SEMH needs, delivering individualized interventions and support to facilitate their overall development and academic progress.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to primary-aged students with SEMH needs, both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies tailored to individual students.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCo and other professionals to ensure the holistic needs of students are met.
  • Regularly monitor and document student progress, offering constructive feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages engagement and personal growth.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficient in implementing behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a specialist SEMH primary setting.
