SEMH Teaching Assistant

Currently looking to recruit a full time, Social Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work within a Specialist school within the Halifax area. Classes sizes vary depending on the needs of the students. Are you someone who can capitvate, engage students and provide a creative and thive approach to their environment? 

Students are this school need some re-assurance and confidence building techniques in order to see their true potential, are you a natural motivator? 

This particular school is ofsted rated good and the right educator is someone who is patient, calm and encouraging. 

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • Supported pupils one-to-one or in smalls groups.
  • Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant or Transferable Skills
  • Experience working with people with SEMH
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willing to purchase)
  • References to cover the last 2 years
  • Live close to the Halifax area and is willing to commute
  • Is ready to take on a Full Time Position
  • Be a confident person with a warm and friendly approach.
  • Able to apply behaviour policies effectively and good de-escalation techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
