SEMH Teacher – South Shields

Are you a teacher who thrives on building strong relationships and helping pupils find their confidence again? We’re looking for an SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in South Shields. You’ll be working with small groups of pupils who benefit from a nurturing, structured approach to learning.
What you’ll be doing:
• Teaching KS3–KS4 pupils with SEMH needs
• Planning flexible, engaging lessons that meet learners where they are
• Offering calm, consistent behaviour support
• Working closely with pastoral and SEND staff to develop personalised plans
• Helping pupils develop resilience, confidence and positive routines
What you’ll need:
• QTS or QTLS
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behaviour needs
• A calm, patient and relationship-centred teaching style

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
