SEMH / Behaviour Teacher – Gateshead
This SEMH teaching role in Gateshead is ideal for someone who brings both structure and heart.
Pupils in this setting often have social and emotional difficulties, and they need a teacher who’s steady, consistent, and confident in behaviour support.
The role involves:
• Teaching small groups with high support ratios
• Creating engaging lessons that reintroduce pupils to learning
• Building relationships that help pupils feel safe
• Implementing positive behaviour and trauma-informed strategies
• Working closely with pastoral leads
We’re looking for:
• QTS with strong SEMH or PRU experience
• Someone resilient and calm under pressure
• A teacher who can see the child behind the behaviour
• Someone who isn’t afraid to try new, creative approaches

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
