We are working with a priamry school in Cambridge. We are seeking a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) unit. This specialised unit supports students who require additional assistance to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. 

 

As a Learning Support Assistant you will be expected to:

  •  Work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEMH needs.
  •  Provide individualised and group support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students in the SEMH unit

What we need from you: 

  •  Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably within a primary school setting.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
  •  The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  •  Relevant qualifications in education or child development (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
