We’re looking for a caring and confident SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in North Tyneside. You’ll be part of a supportive team that helps every pupil feel seen, valued, and ready to succeed.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs across KS3 and KS4

Building positive, trusting relationships that encourage engagement and progress

Helping students develop emotional regulation and resilience
-
Working closely with pastoral and SEND teams to create a safe, structured environment
You’ll need:

Experience supporting young people with SEMH or additional needs
-
A patient, empathetic, and consistent approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
(Bonus) Thrive-trained, or open to completing our free Thrive training to strengthen your approach and appeal to schools
