What the role involves as a Secondary Teacher

You’ll deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, creating an environment where pupils feel motivated, supported and ready to take on new challenges. The school has a welcoming team, a strong focus on wellbeing and a collaborative approach to planning and curriculum development.

Whether your specialism is English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE or the Arts, the school is open to teachers who bring enthusiasm and high standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Secondary Teacher

  • Teaching well-planned, purposeful lessons that support pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, structured classroom atmosphere
  • Building strong relationships with students to support their learning
  • Working closely with your department and pastoral teams
  • Providing clear marking, feedback and guidance
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school where needed

Who we’re looking for in a Secondary Teacher

  • QTS or strong teaching experience within secondary education
  • A confident, adaptable teaching style
  • Commitment to engaging and supporting pupils across different abilities
  • Good behaviour management and strong communication
  • A supportive, team-focused mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
