Secondary SEN Teacher – SEND and Inclusion

Location: Sunderland
Pay: £120–£220 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a Secondary SEN Teacher to support pupils with additional learning needs in a supportive secondary education setting.

This role focuses on adapting the curriculum to help pupils access learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.

You will work closely with subject teachers and SEN staff to support pupils across the school day.

Key responsibilities:
• Delivering differentiated secondary lessons
• Supporting SEND pupils across the curriculum
• Adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and engagement
• Working collaboratively with support staff

This role is ideal for someone who:
• Holds QTS
• Has experience teaching SEND pupils at secondary level
• Is adaptable and solution-focused
• Is committed to inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
