Secondary PE Teacher – South Tyneside

What the role looks like

You’ll deliver PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, creating sessions that get students active, confident and engaged. You’ll be teaching a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities, supporting whole-class groups and small teams, and encouraging pupils to grow their skills and teamwork.

The school has strong values, a supportive leadership team and great facilities, making it a brilliant environment for both experienced teachers and strong ECTs.

Your core responsibilities

  • Teaching dynamic, inclusive PE lessons across the secondary curriculum
  • Preparing and delivering theory and practical content
  • Supporting students to develop teamwork, resilience and confidence
  • Assessing progress and adapting your teaching where needed
  • Leading or supporting extracurricular clubs, fixtures or enrichment activities
  • Working collaboratively with the wider department and pastoral team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
