We are recruiting a Secondary Maths Teacher to work within a well-established secondary school in Sunderland. This role focuses on delivering structured, engaging Maths lessons while supporting pupils to build confidence, consistency, and progress across KS3 and KS4.
The school has a strong behaviour policy, supportive leadership, and a settled department, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs

Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour expectations

Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider staff team

Support pupils to build confidence and resilience in numeracy
Skills & Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

Experience teaching Maths at secondary level is required

Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities

Strong classroom management and organisational skills
