A school that caters to pupils who need additional emotional support in Hillingdon  is currently recruiting for teaching assistants to join their busy team. The pupils are enrolled from mainstream schools across the borough of Hillingdon.

 

In this role you will need to be versatile due to the nature of working with a range of pupils with different needs but also able to build strong relationships as a 1:1. The behaviour of the pupils can be challenging at times so the ability to set boundaries and be a calming influence is paramount.

 

For this role, you will have:

• Experience working in specialist schools such as SEN schools, Pupil Referral Units or in Youth Work.

• Previous support work within a school or other child related experience

• Strong behaviour management and confident with challenging behaviour

• Happy to work one to one and small group work

• An enthusiastic and friendly, yet firm approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
