We are working in partnershipwith a Secondary School based in Camden who are seeking an experienced, passionate, and innovative Science Teacher to join their Science Department in September 2023.

As a Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and enhancing science curriculum to ensure the highest quality of education for our students.

You will be joining a thriving Science Department at a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school that is inclusive, mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 school that embraces all aspects of comprehensive education.

Responsibilities:

•Collaborate with the Science Department and educational leadership to design and align science curriculum.

•Research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in science education, instructional methodologies, and assessment practices.

•Develop comprehensive and engaging science curricula, including lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments, that cater to diverse learning styles.

•Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

•Provide ongoing support and professional development to fellow science teachers, offering guidance on instructional strategies, curriculum implementation, and effective assessment methods.

•Conduct regular evaluations of the science curriculum to ensure its effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on student performance and feedback.

•Collaborate with external organizations, educational partners, and researchers to stay abreast of best practices in science education.

•Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops related to science curriculum development.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in science education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)

•Extensive experience in developing and implementing science curriculum KS-KS4 – Experience of teaching up to KS5 is advantageous however, not essential.

•Strong knowledge of national and state science standards and frameworks

.•Familiarity with current research and best practices in science education.

•Proficiency in integrating technology and digital resources into curriculum development.

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and stakeholders.

•Strong organizational and project management abilities.

•Passion for science education and a commitment to student success.
